Paulo Henrique Ganso
[edit]BESIKTAS'IN YENI SOLTRAFORU GANSO WELLCOME
Should this page be moved to this? It seems more efficient as his commonly known name and for a shorter title. welcome your thoughts. XTomScottx (talk) 15:08, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Ganso (footballer) → Paulo Henrique Ganso – In Brazil commentators or newspapers refers him as Paulo Henrique Ganso, the combination of his name "Paulo Henrique" with the nickname "Ganso".--Oleola (talk) 09:56, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
OpposeOnly Ganso on his shirt. Just likes Italian sometimes refer Kaka as Ricky Kaka, Dida as Nelson Dida, Ganso is his common name/artist name and people incorrectly compose it to given name because they thought it is a surname. Vagner Love is different as "Vagner Love" is his shirt name, he choose "Vagner Love" as artist name instead of just "Love". Matthew_hk tc 22:55, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- Comment No - you're wrong. He's not got only Ganso on the shirt but "P.H. Ganso", photo. So you shoot yourself in the foot, as you see that player want to keep his name on shirt.--Oleola (talk) 10:02, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Then I changed to neutral P.S: Ganso and PH Ganso is shorter. Go ahead to move to Paulo Henrique Ganso, which seems is the player preference. Matthew_hk tc 20:45, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
- Support He's largely referred to as Paulo Henrique Ganso. The name on the shirt doesn't mean that much, Cristiano Ronaldo's shirt says only "Ronaldo", for one. XXX antiuser eh? 23:13, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- Comment I made a quick search in some Brazil website, seems Ganso had much more result than Paulo Henrique Ganso. And this is Google Trend; For Cristiano Ronaldo, in Manchester United is Cristiano Ronaldo. Madrid forced him to heritage R9. Matthew_hk tc 09:10, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- And people use givenname-artistname combination is to disambiguate other "Ganso". But so far these Ganso did not had an article yet. Ronaldinho was known as "Ronaldinho Gaúcho" but now we just know one very notable "Ronaldinho". Matthew_hk tc 09:18, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- For Alexandre Pato, he do choose Alexandre Pato as artist name, and in his early career he put "Alexandre" on his shirt, and in match report refer as "Alexandre" (despite Brazil league may not had name on the shirt). Alexandre Pato may means Alexandre of Pato but now Pato became primary artist name. Matthew_hk tc 09:43, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- Ronaldinho was first known as Ronaldinho Gaúcho because Ronaldo was then known as Ronaldinho, since there was a well-known goalkeeper in Corinthians called Ronaldo. Now that he's back in Brazil he is referred to as Ronaldinho Gaúcho often. The Brazilian media refers to Ganso as Paulo Henrique Ganso more often than not. XXX antiuser eh? 01:54, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
